R Tindall Fabricators is proud to announce that it has achieved Carbon Neutral Gas Certification through British Gas Business, marking another significant step forward in the company’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) journey.
Under the certification, 100% of the gas supplied to R. Tindall (Fabricators) Limited will be carbon neutral for the period 22 January 2026 to 31 October 2028. The agreement confirms that 10% of the gas supply is backed by Renewable Gas Guarantees of Origin, with the remaining 90% supported through verified carbon offset projects.
For a business operating advanced fabrication, welding, threading and coating processes within a 45,000 sq. ft manufacturing facility, energy consumption is a critical operational consideration. Securing carbon neutral gas supply directly supports R Tindall’s ongoing commitment to reducing operational emissions while maintaining the production capacity and reliability that customers depend on.
This milestone builds on a series of environmental and governance initiatives already in place across the business. R Tindall holds ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, has achieved EcoVadis Bronze status, maintains Silver Membership with the Supply Chain Sustainability School, and continues to measure and manage Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions as part of a structured carbon reduction strategy.
In parallel with improvements to energy efficiency and waste reduction across the Oldham site, the company has invested in technologies such as high-efficiency machinery and a powder coating line capable of achieving over 95% powder recovery, reducing material waste and environmental impact.
R Tindall remains committed to continual improvement across all areas of ESG, ensuring that growth, investment and innovation are matched by responsible stewardship of resources and transparent governance.
