R Tindall Fabricators is proud to announce that we have been awarded a Bronze Medal by EcoVadis, a globally recognised platform for rating sustainability performance. This achievement reflects our continued momentum in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices and is a major step forward in our mission to build a more responsible, transparent, and sustainable business.
The EcoVadis assessment is one of the most comprehensive evaluations of corporate sustainability available today. It covers 21 sustainability criteria across four core themes: Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement. With over 130,000 companies assessed worldwide, receiving a Bronze rating places R Tindall among the top-performing businesses in our sector.
In recognition of our achievement, a tree has been planted through the EcoVadis sustainability programme. A small but symbolic act that reflects the larger impact we are committed to making. From low-emission machinery to powder coating recovery rates above 95%, our focus has always been on practical, measurable environmental gains.
Key to achieving this medal has been the significant strides we’ve made in measuring and understanding our carbon footprint. Over the past 12 months, we’ve successfully gathered detailed data on our Scope 1 (direct emissions), Scope 2 (indirect emissions from energy), and Scope 3 (supply chain and logistics) impacts. This data is being used to shape actionable plans that will reduce emissions across every layer of our operations.
We are also working closely with the Green Economy team, part of the Greater Manchester Growth Company, to develop a comprehensive carbon inventory for 2025. This will provide a clear roadmap for targeted reductions and will be published to ensure transparency and accountability.
This Bronze Medal marks another chapter in our ESG journey. It complements our ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certifications, our Constructionline Social Value credentials, and our SafeContractor and Acclaim Health & Safety accreditations.
