R Tindall Fabricators has completed its full Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 carbon emissions baseline for 2024, marking a significant step in the company’s long-term environmental strategy. The baseline, covering the period from May 2024 to April 2025, was formally submitted on 1 December 2025 and provides a robust reference point against which future emissions reductions will be measured.
The assessment captures direct emissions from fuel and gas use, indirect emissions from purchased electricity, and a wide range of Scope 3 impacts across the supply chain. These include purchased goods and services, waste, business travel, employee commuting and downstream transportation and distribution. Establishing this baseline gives R Tindall a clear, evidence-based understanding of where emissions are generated across the business and where meaningful reductions can be achieved.

The programme of work was led internally by ESG Analyst Ming Yue, working closely with operational, procurement and finance teams across the business to ensure the data reflected real-world activity and aligned with recognised reporting standards. This collaborative approach has helped embed carbon awareness more widely across the organisation rather than treating it as a standalone exercise.
While R Tindall remains committed to achieving net zero by 2050, the completion of the baseline allows the business to take a more proactive view of its trajectory. The next phase of work focuses on bringing the target forward to 2045 through a combination of operational improvements, investment in lower-carbon technologies and closer engagement with suppliers, particularly in high-impact Scope 3 areas.
This work forms part of R Tindall’s wider ESG commitments and reflects a practical, engineering-led approach to sustainability. By establishing a credible carbon baseline and setting out a clear path for continuous improvement, the company is laying the groundwork for measurable emissions reductions while continuing to support customers with reliable, responsibly delivered solutions.
