R Tindall is looking for an experienced Welding Robot Operative to join our growing manufacturing team in Oldham, working with the advanced automation technology that’s helping shape the future of British manufacturing.
As one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of prefabricated fire sprinkler pipework, we’ve invested heavily in world-class machinery, robotic welding and automated production systems. This role puts you at the heart of that investment, programming, setting up and operating a fully automated welding robot that produces critical life-safety products installed in buildings across the UK.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving processes and getting the very best from modern manufacturing technology. Experience with CNC machinery, automated welding systems or robotic welding equipment is essential, along with the ability to interpret engineering drawings and maintain the high quality standards our customers expect.

What we’re looking for:
- Experience with CNC machinery, automated welding systems, or robotic welding equipment
- Strong understanding of welding parameters, tolerances, and defect prevention
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Experience setting up and adjusting machine programmes
- Strong mechanical and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
- MIG welding, fabrication, pipework, sprinkler systems, or Lean Manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
