R Tindall Fabricators Ltd, the UK’s leading supplier of bespoke pre-fabricated fire sprinkler pipe and mechanical pipework, has announced substantial investments across the business to enhance operations and support environmental sustainability.
These investments include an overhaul of their Oldham site including £450,000 for new concrete slabs across the entire site, improving infrastructure, and £80,000 for new cantilever racking, which increases floor space and productivity.
Additionally, they have acquired an additional 17,000 sqft foothold on the same industrial estate to accommodate a full distribution warehouse, creating a one-stop shop for all fabrication and loose fittings.
R Tindall has also invested £160,000 in cut and screw lathes and make-on machines to boost capacity, as well as an additional powder coat oven, which increases track speed and productivity.
Their distribution admin workflow and stock accuracy will see a boost with an investment in Sage 200 and, to further enhance their operations, R Tindall has hired additional transport personnel, an admin clerk, and a quality manager, thereby improving quality, transport efficiencies, and finance support.
Additionally, R Tindall has invested in six onsite balers to palletise and efficiently package all excess cardboard and hessian wrap, improving housekeeping and reducing onsite bin collections, which helps to reduce emissions.
