R Tindall has completed another major phase in its ongoing programme of investment and improvement with the creation of a new Operations Hub at its Oldham site.
The transformation saw two disused storage areas in Unit 1 completely redeveloped into a purpose-built facility that now serves as the central control point for the business. The £60,000 investment brings together production, transport, planning, health and safety, quality and continuous improvement teams under one roof, improving collaboration, communication and operational visibility across the site.
Designed to support the company’s long-term goal of becoming a fully automated manufacturer by 2026, the new hub provides a 360-degree view of factory performance. Wall-mounted screens display live data from R Tindall’s Shoplogix software, tracking hourly cycle times and equipment efficiency across every production line. This data-driven approach allows managers and supervisors to respond quickly to changes on the shop floor, ensuring smooth workflow and consistent quality.
The redevelopment forms part of a wider series of site upgrades aimed at improving efficiency, safety and environmental performance. Over the past year, R Tindall has continued to reinvest heavily in its facilities, focusing on better space utilisation, the elimination of fire hazards, and the modernisation of core areas to enhance productivity and working conditions.
What was once an underused area has now become a state-of-the-art operational hub at the heart of R Tindall’s expanding manufacturing base, a clear example of the company’s commitment to continuous improvement, innovation and sustainable growth.
